1987년에 태어난 이태희는 다양한 환경에서의 실무 경험을 바탕으로 안정적인 시각과 탄탄한 미적 감각을 갖춘 촬영감독입니다.
상업영화 현장에서 촬영 조수로 경력을 시작한 그는 지난 15년 이상 다양한 영화 프로젝트에 참여하며 현장에서의 경험을 폭넓게 쌓아왔습니다. 이후 촬영감독으로서 한국뿐만 아니라 유럽을 오가며 단편영화, 장편영화, 드라마 등 다양한 작품을 꾸준히 촬영하며 다문화적 환경 속에서 협업 영역을 넓혀가고 있습니다.
동시에 프라하 국립영화학교에서 촬영 과정을 거친 그는 촬영에 대한 시각과 기술을 한층 발전시켰습니다. 폭넓은 현장 경험과 교육을 통해 그는 어떤 상황에서도 빠르게 판단하고 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 능력을 갖추었으며, 예기치 못한 환경에서도 부드럽고 안정적으로 프로덕션을 이끌어가는 기반을 마련했습니다.
영화, 드라마, 다큐멘터리, 뮤직비디오, 광고 등 다양한 장르와 문화권의 프로젝트를 경험하며 그는 매 작품마다 새로운 시선과 독창적인 접근을 추구합니다. 그의 작업은 각 이야기가 가진 감정과 분위기를 시각적으로 가장 잘 드러내는 방식에 대한 끊임없는 탐구로 이어집니다.
Born in 1987, Tei Lee is a Seoul based cinematographer best understood through his passion for adventure, travel and crafting worlds full of image.
Tei began his career as a camera assistant for a studio film. Ever since then, he has been involved in many films for over 15 years. As a cinematographer, he continues to work between Korea and Europe, shooting short films, features, and TV series while expanding his collaborative reach within multicultural settings.
At the same time, he studied cinematography at the Korea National University of Arts(MA) and FAMU(MgA) in Prague.
Tei describes himself as a part time nomad, having travelled around the world and having shot in around Asia and Europe, Tei is used to thinking on her feet. His ability to confidently manage local crews and navigate unpredictable environments.
With experience across a diverse range of projects in various culture, including Fiction, Documentary, Music Videos and Commercials, Tei brings a unique perspective to each project he works on.
